Abstract

"The Jurisprudence of Religious Discourse" offers a scholarly treatment of religious discourse and its dimensions in Islamic propagation, combining the authenticity derived from the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah with the utilization of modern data and technologies that serve this field. Written in clear language that considers the nature of students and the diversity of their backgrounds, it serves as an educational and training resource, filling a significant gap in this specialization.

The book addresses the concept of the jurisprudence of religious discourse, its importance, and its relationship to other sciences and fields of knowledge. It explains its pillars, sources, characteristics, methodologies, approaches, and means. It also highlights the flexibility and realism in the methods of conveying religious discourse and clarifies how religious discourse can engage with contemporary challenges without compromising its fundamental principles.

The author dedicates several chapters to discussing religious lessons, their importance, characteristics, how to choose a topic, the steps involved in preparing them, and the rules for delivering them. A comparison is also drawn between religious lessons and the Friday sermon. The book concludes with a dedicated chapter on oratory, defining it, highlighting its importance, history, and various types. It then addresses the Friday sermon, examining its essential elements and stages of preparation, clarifying its legal guidelines, and exploring methods of persuasion through both the sermon itself and the innate, acquired, and specialized skills of the orator. In this way, the book bridges the theoretical and practical aspects of preparing preachers and religious leaders.
