The Advanced Level Book in the Al-Qasimia University Series for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers consists of 16 units, divided into two books: Advanced Level 1 and Advanced Level 2, each containing 8 units. After every two units, there is an achievement test covering the four language skills, grammar, and spelling. At the end of each book, there is a final exam graded out of 100.
Each unit follows an integrated, skill-based approach, similar to previous levels, while giving attention to grammar and spelling. The units are designed based on a structured and progressive matrix that builds on previously studied content.
Unit components include:
- Two reading texts presented narratively, followed by comprehension and vocabulary exercises
- Two listening texts, with comprehension questions after each
- A grammar or morphology lesson, presented with examples, notes, and practice exercises
- A spelling lesson, introduced through examples or explanations and followed by exercises
- A writing lesson that focuses on advanced-level topics such as article or story writing, continuing from where the intermediate level ended
